Sounders Cards

The fluke of "Sounder" gray whale #531 (Gretchen), seen on March 6th, 2022.

In an effort to increase public interest and knowledge about the local population of gray whales, known as the “Sounders”, we are excited to announce our new “Sounders”  cards, available as a free downloadable PDF. These cards feature each individual “Sounder” and highlight facts about gray whales, as well as stories about the individual whales that visit our waters in Puget Sound every spring. Share these with your friends to learn more about our local gray whales!

We have two versions of the PDF available – one with each individual card per page (sized as a 2.5 x 3.5 in baseball card), and another with multiple cards per page. To print, make sure you select “print on both sides”, and “flip on the long side” in your printer options.

Special thanks to our interns Meg Vandenberg and Andi Gero for helping to put these cards together!
