Senior research biologist, John Calambokidis will be presenting today for Oregon Sea Grant’s State of the Conference at the Salishan Resort in Gleneden Beach, Oregon, John will first be presenting briefly on the state of whales along the US West Coast. In the afternoon he presents during a breakout session on The Whole Whale. He along with Amada Gladics from Oregon Sea Grant, Lisa Ballance from OSU Marine Mammal Institute and John Corbin and Oregon crab fisherman. The three will touch on the latest whale research, the mortality events and fishing perspectives on the impacts of the increasing entanglements.
